Pixel 4 Launch
#teampixel
To celebrate the launch of the Pixel 4, Google invited 30 of its award-winning #teampixel content creators to experience a whirlwind day of surprise experiences in New York City.
watch the sizzle.
the keynote
The day started with #teampixel attending the Pixel 4 Launch Keynote event. After the Keynote, influencers were picked up in style in a fully wrapped, branded double-decker New York City bus.
domino’s partnership
Influencers rode the private branded bus from the keynote to Sousa House, a Greenwich Village brownstone once owned by John Philip Sousa that served as homebase for the day. Upon arrival, they were surprised with custom Domino’s pizza boxes made to hold their new Pixel 4s (and hot-from-the-oven pizza). The Pixel concierge team was on site to onboard each influencer to their new phone, and creators took this time to relax, edit content and enjoy passed apps and each other’s company.
NYC photo tour
To put the amazing photography features of the Google Pixel 4 to use, creators took their private branded bus on a tour of New York City’s most Instagrammable spots — Washington Square Park, The Bowery Mural, and Top of the Rock.
sousa house
Following the photo tour, #teampixel returned to Sousa House to live out the remainder of the experience. It’s here that the evening got a little, well, elevated. Rather than implementing a standard progressive dinner that travels venue-to-venue, we eliminated the impossible variable of New York City traffic, and moved guests from the bottom floor to the top, where each floor gradually got darker in blue tones, highlighting the impressive Night Sight feature.
the lounge
After the photo tour around Manhattan, guests were invited to relax in the lounge on the first floor where they could take a break, edit their newly shot content and chat with one another. An array of passed apps and an open bar featuring a signature cocktail with blue ice cubes was served in the lounge. On the fifth floor, guests freshened up in the beauty lounge.
2. dinner
After a few apps and libations, guests were invited up to the mezzanine for a seated dinner. Waiters served their choice of filet, halibut or trumpet mushroom, along with cocktails, wine or beer of their choice. Natasha Aarons, influencer and experiential marketing lead for Google Pixel, gave a champagne toast to celebrate the launch of the Pixel 4 and the experience influencers and Google shared together.
3. after party
Following dinner, guests climbed up another level to a Night Sight 2.0-inspired after party on the third floor with DJ Coco spinning upbeat tracks, passed champagne cloud cocktails and fun post-worthy surprises such as the blue water display, neon sign and the blue foil wall. Guests also enjoyed an open bar and passed themed desserts such as blue mini donuts and blue marbled cream cones.
