For years, YouTube Gaming has been supporting IRL gaming tournaments across the world. After previously working with YouTube Gaming at live events such as E3, The Game Awards and The Fortnite World Cup, YouTube turned to us to produce COVID-friendly digital tournaments in 2020.

Celebration of Fall Guys Season 2 Tournament

YouTube Gaming’s Celebration of Fall Guys Season 2 Tournament featured some of gaming’s most prominent Creators and personalities as they squared off in a points race to see who would take the coveted crown – both in the game and IRL. Creators competed across a variety of Season 2 challenges, all while showcasing new medieval themes, costumes, and mayhem that awaited. Creators competed in teams of two for a shot at the grand finale, where winners Typical Gamer (11M Subs) and Avxry (2.4M Subs) took home the crown and a YouTube donation of $100,000 towards UNICEF on their behalf.

As players competed to win the charity prize, fans tuned in to cheer on their favorite Creators, participate in live Q&A, and enjoyed hosts Charalanahzard (556K Subs) and Raynday Gaming (344K Subs) leading the audience through a variety of the game’s humorous challenges. This live tournament marked a special moment as the gaming community came together to raise awareness and funds for COVID relief and celebrate Fall Guys Season 2.

 Creators organically shared 110 posts across social in support of the tournament.

A Celebration of Mobile Gaming

YouTube Gaming activated at VidCon Now’s 2020 digital event by hosting a mobile gaming tournament featuring some of the most exciting Creators in the space.

Overall, YouTube Gaming’s Celebration of Mobile Gaming featured a tournament comprised of three duos of prominent mobile gaming Creators going head-to-head competing in a series of popular games to discover the ultimate Mobile Gaming champion. Players across six countries competed for bragging rights and a $50,000 donation to the charity of their choice. 

Fans tuned in to cheer on their favorite Creators, participate in live Q&As in the chat, and to hear from some of the biggest names in mobile gaming during interviews and special mini-games. In the end, Lex Mobile Gaming (684K Subs) and KairosTime (643K Subs) took home the win, donating the $50,000 to the World Health Organization for COVID-19 relief.

 Creators and publishers organically shared 107 posts across social promoting the tournament.
